Introduction

The Biodiversity Program is a pioneer in advancing voluntary biodiversity markets by implementing a standardized, impartial, and neutral approach to biodiversity conservation and restoration.

Through this framework, the program ensures that biodiversity projects adhere to rigorous standards, promoting measurable and credible outcomes that support the protection and enhancement of ecosystems globally.

The Biodiversity Program will be in a pilot phase for the first two years, during which it will pioneer the advancement of voluntary biodiversity markets through a standardized, impartial, and neutral approach to conservation and restoration. This framework ensures that biodiversity projects adhere to rigorous standards, delivering measurable and credible outcomes that support ecosystem protection and enhancement globally.

The program focuses on promoting Biodiversity Net Gain (BiNG) by supporting projects with verifiable and additional conservation outcomes. It prioritizes ecosystem protection, habitat restoration, and biodiversity enhancement, ensuring these gains are sustainable and impactful. By streamlining project registration, validation, and the issuance of Biodiversity Net Gain Credits (BiNGCs), the program enables meaningful contributions to global biodiversity efforts.
