### Bio

Kristján worked as the executive director of the Electronic Coin Council of Iceland, but the Electronic Coin Council was established in 2015 and aims to make Iceland a leader in innovation and implementation of block chain technology and digital coins.

Kristján has been building software since the age of 11, received the award for programmer of the year at the Nordic Startup Awards and actively participated in entrepreneurship in Iceland, but he lived for a while in the Silicon Valley with his startup company that operated from 2013 to 2018.

Over the years, he has launched a number of community projects and held programming conferences in Iceland in 2016-2018. Kristján currently leads the largest programming community in Iceland and is the co-founder of the Community Fund.
