## Gunnlaugur Guðjónsson

#### Bio

Gunnlaugur is an Icelandic forestry and public-sector executive with extensive experience in organizational management, finance, digital development and forestry. He currently serves as Head of Operations, Finance and Digital Development at Land og skógur, the Icelandic public body responsible for forestry and land management.

He has more than two decades of senior management experience in the Icelandic forestry sector and was among the authors of the original [**Skógarkolefni** ](https://www.skogarkolefni.is/en)requirements, Iceland’s forest carbon framework. He has continued to contribute to its governance and development, as well as to standards work through Icelandic Standards. His experience spans forestry, climate mitigation, public administration and the practical development of GHG frameworks capable of supporting independently validated and verified climate projects.&#x20;
