# Criteria

## Quick links

The ICR program relies on the robust ISO 14064-2 *Greenhouse gases - Part 2: Specification with guidance at the project level for quantification, monitoring and reporting of greenhouse gas emission reductions or removal enhancements,* as criteria for projects registering with the ICR.

In addition to ISO 14064-2, the ICR requirement document is the backbone of the ICR program. It provides the requirements that projects registered with ICR need to conform to.
