# Letter of Attestation and Authorization

A "Letter of Attestation and Authorization" under Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement is a document provided by the host country where project impacts generate Internationally Transferred Mitigation Outcomes (ITMOs). This letter serves as a formal declaration or assurance issued by the host country Government that the transferred ITMOs will be subject to a corresponding adjustment and the impacts not be double counted.
