✍️Verification report (VerR)

A verification report is a document that verifies the quantity of greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reductions or removals generated by a specific project. The report is a confirmation that the project has achieved the expected emission reductions or removals or deviations from the estimation.

The verification report typically includes data on the quantity and type of emissions or removals, as well as information on criteria and procedures for monitoring and quantification, the methodologies and assumptions used in the monitoring and calculation of the GHG emission reductions or removals. The report also includes an assessment of the project's conformity with the requirements of the ICR requirement document, ISO 14064-2 and the PDD, as well as any issues or challenges encountered during the verification process.

The verification report is prepared by an accredited validation and verification body that assesses the project against the criteria. The report is then submitted to the proponent and the ICR for demonstrating the eligibility for issuance of carbon credits ex-post.

The verification report provides assurance that emission reductions or removals from projects are real, measurable, and verifiable and on conformity to necessary requirements.
