A validation report is a document that validates that a project conforms to the ICR program requirements.
The validation report includes an assessment of the proposed project activities, including an assessment of the project's baseline and estimation of the expected greenhouse gas (GHG) emission mitigations. The report also assesses other aspects of the project, such as the monitoring plan, quantification criteria, and procedures.
The validation report is prepared by an accredited validation and verification body that assesses the project against the criteria.
The validation report provides assurance that projects generating carbon credits will conform to the said criteria.
