Alondra joined ICR in 2024 as Chief Marketing Officer, where she is responsible for go-to-market strategy, pipeline development, and strategic communications. She is passionate about climate justice and is dedicated to integrating ethical and sustainable practices into all aspects of her work.
Prior to her current role, Alondra held the position of Head of Marketing at Kaptio, a traveltech SaaS company built on Salesforce. At Kaptio, Alondra drove significant growth and positioned the company as a market leader while developing comprehensive investor engagement strategies and securing Series B funding. Before that, she was at Beedle, a technology company daughter of InfoMentor, where she significantly drove market expansion and unprecedented user growth via partnerships with Microsoft Education.
Since relocating to Iceland, Alondra co-founded Troll Expeditions, an adventure tour operator in Iceland, where she served as Head of Marketing and Sales. She was responsible for directing cross-market strategies, leading to a tenfold revenue increase and establishing global partnerships. Earlier in her career, Alondra co-founded a company with a partner from San Francisco, California that focused on Communications Strategy.
Alondra has served on the boards of various organizations, including non-profits, civil society, and political organizations. She is currently the Chair of the Board of Women Tech Iceland and a Board Member of Solaris, the association for aiding refugees and asylum seekers. Previously, she served as Secretary of the Board of AFS Intercultural Programs and Leader at Móðurmal, the Bilingualism Association, among others.
Alondra has become a prominent voice advocating for the rights of women of foreign origin and women of color in Iceland. She was honored as Iceland's national winner for Diversity Leader at the Nordic Women in Tech Awards in 2022. Additionally, she serves as an elected Deputy City Council Representative in Reykjavík.
Alondra holds a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics from the University of Santiago and masters studies in Linguistics from the same university. She graduated with first-class honors in International Studies (Inter-American) from the University of Iceland and is currently completing her Executive MBA from the University of Reykjavík.
